I wanted to do an open MYO contest for my elnins to help get them out into the big bad world *u*. During this event, you'll be able to design your very own elnin character! There will be certain guidelines that must be followed for entries to be valid, so please make sure you understand all the rules before making your submission. Approved designs will be eligible to become official characters within the Mana universe, which will be growing and evolving in the days to come. 


There will be three ways for you to obtain an elnin during this event:
Winning the MYO Contest:: There will be a number of winners at the end of the contest that will have the opportunity to keep their design at no cost. There is also a chance to have your elnin design moved to an official base (also at no cost). 
Purchasing After Contest:: Once winners are announced, there will be some limited availability for people to make their designs official for a fee ($25).
Special MYO Slots:: In addition to the general contest, there will be MYO slots available for anyone who would like to skip the contest entirely and purchase their MYO outright at a premium (note that these purchases come with additional design options not available through the general contest). These MYO slots will be very limited in number and may or may not open again during the conteset. Please see the bottom of this journal for more information on the MYO slots.



I probably won't be doing another MYO event for this species, so please keep that in mind if you're thinking about entering.

<da:thumb id="397675156"/> :: STEP 2:: <da:thumb id="387314971"/>  Come up with an elnin design that follows all of these rules:

• The elnin must be of [Villager] or [Nestling] rank. That means the total MP value of the traits you choose must not exceed [4]. All traits and MP values are all listed on the elnin [Part Two] guide. 
  
• You may only use [Common+ (Single Star)] or lower traits in your design. ***Except: Glyphic style crowns. Traditional/fractal crowns are OK.
• There are currently no hard restrictions on coat colors or markings-- If I find your elnin's coloration a bit scandalous, though, I reserve the right to request that you make a few alterations? ^u^; 
  

{{Signal Boost Bonus}}  If you advertise this contest (via journal/poll/whatnot), you can unlock a single (non-crown) [Rare (Three Star)] trait for your elnin and have your total MP cap boosted to [6], which will also unlock the [Adventurer] rank if your elnin's MP reaches 5 or above. You must receive approval for this bonus by linking your advertisement [OVER HERE] for confirmation. We'll be making a separate list to keep track of people who are approved! To reiterate, the boost bonus unlocks any single three star trait -except- the 3 star crowns or 1 star glyphic crown, which will remain unavailable for contest entries.

• You are welcome to include a little outfit (especially if you have a profession in mind!), but please make sure you have a view that shows the body and markings in full as well if you do. Also, elnins do not wear pants. 
  
• Drawing phasma horns for your design is optional (though encouraged!). You only need to show the primary horns for a valid entry. 
  
• Including a small snippet about your elnin's personality/profession/misc things is also appreciated! 
  
• The only crowns that are open for use are the simple fractal and simple traditional crowns. All other versions are locked.
• If you have any questions about your design/world lore/anything related to the event in general, please comment in this journal!

MINI F.A.Q

• Having another friend/deviant/etc draw the art for your design for you is totally fine! <3
  
• You can enter up to three designs if you'd like, however in the end you may only win/purchase one of them.
  
• You can use the boost bonus on all your submitted designs.
  
• If you choose to design phasma horns for you elnin, keep in mind that this trait is fluid, and not fixed! Your elnin can display any number of different phasma horns (it's like changing clothes to them), as long as they follow the styles appropriate for their rank.
• The subclass "Knight" is not available for MYO elnins at this time-- that means no combat or magic casting professions.

Additional Notes:

• I am aware that these slot are more expensive than your traditional MYO. The special slots are a sort of premium, fast track, kind of thing. People are totally welcome and encouraged to enter the contest, where they have a chance win their designs for free, or wait until the end to buy their designs at a much lower price. That being said, I will not be opening unlimited buy options once the contest concludes. So, the special slots will be a way of ensuring you get your design, along with access to more traits as a bonus for your support. 
• Payment is due within 48hrs or the slot will be released. 
• You are free to take as much time as you need to come up with your design.
• [Updated 9/30] One per person. You may choose to purchase multiple slots for gifts as long as you make note who you are purchasing them for when you are claiming. You may not transfer ownership after initial purchase. The slots themselves may not be traded/sold etc.
• [Updated 9/30] There will be no more slots.
• [Updated 9/30] These MYOs will eventually get official art from me, but they will be a free time project. I will complete them (roughly) in the order that they are purchased/approved.
